They do have a few of them on the shelves. It was called the Quiver Stick. It has a hand sanded blank with Recoil guides on it. The rod runs about 85 bucks if I remember correctly. This thing is sweet. I want to pick one up soon, but may have to wait for the second run of them. They only had 12 or so left on the shelf Friday. The first set of blanks that came in, one of the two boxes was smashed in shipping and 30 some blanks were crushed. Bummed the guys at the shop out big time as these were the blanks they have been waiting for for quite some time.

Yep, the new "quiverstick" sounds awesome. Kind of a cross between the action of a Powernoodle and a Sweetheat plus - 26 inches I believe. I'll have one in my hands this week and cant wait! grin

TB also released the "Hardwater" series of rods recently. They mimick thier other rods but are not made in the shop and come at a lower pricepoint, less than 30 bucks...

I probably should ust call Matt, but do they make them longer? I'm assuming that they could make me anything I wanted. But just curious if any one has used them yet too.

thanks for reminding me. I will probably be purchasing a new one soon.

I bought mine this Friday. I had "preordered" one and was in the store buying other stuff when they called my cell to let me know it was ready. Haven't put my new Tica on it yet. Will use it when my walleye season is over. Can't wait!!!!

Although I won't be buying the quiver stick anytime soon, I do plan on going into TB this week and getting either a powernoodle or finesse rod (19").

anyone fish the finesse? comments? I know the powernoodle is better suited to my needs but if the finess rod is as sensitive as I hope it is, it would be a great fit.

I have one of the Sweet Pea 16" sight rods and absolutely love it. I have caught plenty of bigger fish with it. The nice thing about the short rods is that you can really dial in a short jigging action because the longer rods are going to transmit more base on geometry. I would not feel bad recommending a short rod if you are into sight fishing or ultra finesse applications. Bummer on the wait for the power noodle.

I have been fishing the finesse all year long and I love it! I either fish it as is or with one of thier springs. The panfish spring is my favorite of all the springs I have tried because it's not too soft. Most springs are too soft for me and turn your jigging motions into mush. With a 1/32 oz or smaller jig you can "pound" your bait nicely. Without the spring the rod will fish a large range of jig weights and is as sensitive "feel" wise as anything. The rod is extremly lite with plenty of backbone also. Without sounding one-sided, I have built my own rods for about 15 years and have fished about every rod out there and the finesse with a Pflueger Trion is most definatly my favorite combo to date. I do like shorter rods and finesse type fishing though...

Just talked to Matt tonite, and my Power Noodle is on it's way. Can't wait to use that bad boy on some Kansas slabs!I was lucky, they found some guides to finish making my rod.Matt did say, they had a few with the same guides as the quiver stick, but they are higher dollar, but lighter also.

I picked up my first TB rod today! its a sweet thing plus (24"). I was going to go with the finesse rod, but after a while figured the sweet thing might be a touch more versitile. I can't afford a great real for it just yet, but have one that will fit the bill for a couple weeks. I cannot wait to get it on the ice! I suppose if I was smarter I would order or pick up my rods in the off season and avoid the delay altogether.

I also really should have picked up a blank, but did not want to wait for the flex coat to dry!
