EsaysFISHON
Hi,I inherited a vintage 70's starcraft pop-up last fall. The canvas is good, top is water-tight, stove works well. It worked well for deer hunting other than I couldn't get all corners to sit flush when it was collapsed, and then after hunting, one of the four cables broke and I discovered it was a smaller diameter than the other 3 cables. The corner channels and pulleys all seem good. Since I can't find any schematics anywhere, can anyone recommend someone in the north metro for recabling a popup? There seems to be a lot of RV Dealers on Hiway 10 in the Ramsey area, but it would be nice if someone out there could recommend a person well versed in this area. Thanks! -E-
eyemaster
fI had the same problem with a camper I have. It is a newer Jayco. It broke when my uncle used it in Montana, was repaired there and did not last. I had Hill Top trailer in Fridley repair it the second time and it has worked well for about 5 years. I am assuming that it will last for years.
Chapo
I had a 98 Starcraft that I broke the cable on. Ordered the cable through Starcraft dealer and was able to replace it myself. Took awhile to figure it all out but it worked out.

Macgyver55
Just a heads up in case you didn't know, Hiltop trailer moved to Fridley a while back. They are now just north of Osborne Rd on University.
zamboni
I took an ex GF to Flameburger on Rice St once for coffee. She never let me live it down.
EsaysFISHON
Thanks for the posts folks--I chatted with the service dept at hilltop and they can do the repair, and in time for my annual troutin' trip to southern mn in April! They charge a $100 "diagnostic fee", but it's applied to the total of the repair--sounds like about a 200-300 deal for the cable repair, which isn't bad considering everything else works in the trailer and I got it for nothing. The Flameburger may be an acquired taste for some, but imho its a great place for burger and fries, I recommend the cheeseflame with onions and a side of fries--never sampled their coffee though! zamboni
She grew up in Edina and pretty much thought she was above that place. I ate in there several times after putting a few beers down at Hoggsbreath across the street.
