Anyone else notice that Berkely has reintroduced the E-cat rod? Catfish Connection seems to be the exclusive dealer.

Wow!! Now if they'll just bring back the Classic Cat. wink

Great price on that rod as well. The few E-Cats I've seen sold on HSOList in the last couple years have commanded big $$$$!

You can bet you arse I'll be ordering up a couple. I really want to get my hands on the E-Cat #3.

That's great news! I still have my original ECat No. 3, which I use now as a musky trolling rod, but it's there ready to get back to its roots next time I can get catfishing!

Man, I love those rods. I had a telescoping ECat No. 2, which was just the right cat rod for the Red River where I did most of my cattin', but I ran over it with my pickup, and not even and ECat could survive that. Ran right over the telescoping shaft.

Great rods!

I never saw L, M, MH or Heavy on any of the E-Cat series.

According to what it says on the rod, my E-Cat No. 3 is 7'-6" and lists 17-30 lb Trilene and 1-3 oz lure weights as recommended.

Pretty sure the original E-Cats ran from No. 1 to No. 4, so MH sounds about right for the No. 3. Based on the specs, looks like the new E-Cats are going to be a little beefier than the originals, and eliminating the No. 1 and No. 2 puts the crosshairs right on the big channel/blue/flathead gang.

These are very nice rods and I now own one. I also like my Boss #3 but I believe one cannot purchase that any longer. Along with my King Kat rod and a few others I built myself, looks like I have no need for another cat rod. Yes, I said it, no more rods for now.

I'm different than Steve as he may sell his for a higher price, mine is not for sale. Get that price up there Steve.
