where to start?

Does anyone have any info on where to start to look for fox or yotes around the Detroit Lakes area? New to the area and not been hunting in a long time, would like to start again being I get laid off in the winter. And can only fish so much. Thanks for any advice.

drive the gravel roads and look for tracks.

Drive around and find some cattails and willows and get out and call.

Fill the tank & hit the county roads. The more unpopulated area's you hit the better your odds are of cut'n a track. If you have another laid off buddy he can drop you off. Put on the shoes 'n start tracking & put on the push.

That is what I did yesterday got bored I dont know to many people around here so it is a solo act. But I went out and drove around saw alot of tracks set up a few times nothing, started to head back to town and a minimum maint rd caught my eye turned down it for half a mile and boom a pile of fish guts caght my eye and a lot of tracks. Looked out int the field and to yote running across, pulled out the 22-250 and the one made a bad choice and stopped. One shot one kill, felt lucky tried second one but it woldnt stop so I missed. But it sure was fun for the first time out in about 15 years. Thanks to everyone for the help and info.
