Sunset 1/5/09

Pretty sunset in Sauk Rapids this evening. Which do you like better and why? I really like the first with a bit more sky but the second one is nice cuz of the trees.

i personally like the first one better.

i like that it has more sky but still has trees.

the second one is just too busy with the trees for me and it feels like they are taking the attention away from the sunset..but thats just me

First one is better for me, too. There's just something about the expanse of clouds that extends and delivers more impact in the horizontal composition of the first image. Both are framed well, and sweet!

i like how #1 tends to drive you to the sunset with some trees on both sides. That one could hang on my wall.

Thanks Hwood for the nice words. Yup I like the first one better also. Had to speed home from work yesturday to grab the camera and head to this spot.
