Aqua Vu Floodlight

I was at Mills Fleet Farm today, and pondered buying this floodlight for my camera. Questions I have are-

How good does it work in low light situations?

Is it legal?? I know Minnesota law forbids lights down an ice hole.

I saw one in use last year and they work way better than the lights that they come with, very bright and work great because of your ability to adjust the angle up or down.

So they work good and are legal- now I wish I had gotten one now. Next time I go to Mankato I guess.

I am going to call the DNR tomorrow and get that figured out.

My buddy uses one on his camera and it works well at lighting things up down there. He can see his jig after dark. We are still currently testing out to see if it spooks the fish or not. I think it does but he doesn't. Legal down here in the flatland.

I have it on good athority that you will get ticketed using this light in MN.

The best I can say is "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK"!!!!

I use this floodlight occasionally and have been really happy with it. Fishing Prior earlier this year during the day in ~ 20 FOW and I could BARELY see my jig from 3 ft away. With the floodlight I could see it much easier. I am only using it during the day in dark water to make my jig-head visible. On some lakes it's not needed.

I would most def call the DNR and get a response from them, You dont want to take any chances.

I posted this on the other post, but figured I would here as well. Called 1888MINNDNR today and they ARE against the law.
