Reel Weeds

I am a believer in this product, after going out perch and pan fishing this past week. My Bro in Law has six of them, and he set them up, and we were seeming to catch more fish than the other guys next to us who were using the same techniques and presentations. My thought was after awhile, we are fishing a slough in SD, that is mainly a sand bottom, these fish want something to relate to and the Reel Weeds seemed to be the ticket.

Now by question for you is this

What is the best pattern or way to set them up you think?? Do certain set ups work better for certain species?

Do you ever see these things go on sale?

I do alot of fishing on the Mississippi Backwaters for gills and crappies, and I think these could really be a good tool to use.

I fish mostly SW MN prairie potholes and I'm a believer in Reel Weeds. The thing about the lakes I fish is there really isn't much for structure, and the Reel Weeds add structure.

Do they actually attract fish??? I can't answer that. Do they hold fish in an area longer??? Darn straight they do. I've done a fair share of experimentation with the Reel Weeds to be able to say they hold fish in the area longer.

I'm a big fan of the "V" pattern. Kind of like a funnel leading right to your hole.
