I did not even realize he an Petty parted ways. Didn't he just sign an extention? Was he released or did he quit? I am confused.

I just read that he is in nagotiations with DEI to head the team with Truex and the rest. He could do worse, but not by much.....

He did sign an extension, then was released from his contract because of no sponsor/possible end of the Petty team.

I think he will definatly get a ride next year, he probly already has a few deals in the works but it will be a while before anything is released.

I would guess that it will be tough for many teams this race season as the sponsor funding will more than likely really dry up. Some teams may end up reducing cars and their teams.

I would imagine that the funnel of cash from the car companies to the race teams will be slim to say the least.
