something is wrong with my fl 20

well what it is doing when i trun it on i only get marks at the 0

foot like i allways should and then i get a line at the yellow 20 foot mark right next to the 0 foot mark .....now no matter what how deep i set it or where i move the nobs the to makrs do not move and i do not get any other readings on it at all i do not get the bottom zoom or any thing just wondering what you could be worng it is about 4 years old it has never ben worked on

well i know my battery is going bad but the light on the fl 20 says that it is fulled charged witch i know it is but i will try right now test it out right now ...i got an idea

i just hocked it up to a truck battery lead wire from + on car battery to + charging post on vex and same for - side and did the same thing

Bad transducer? Have you accidently banged the transducer or dropped it.

lest just say it has been used ......and droped and you name it ....its been done to it lol

Is the transducer ticking out of the water?

Make sure you don't have any corrosion in the ducer plug.

You could see if your local sporting goods store would let you check it with one of their display ducers.

Could also be dirty brushes. But it sounds like a bad transducer.

Do you have a buddy with a vex? Try his transducer.

that was it bad ducer thanks guys differnt ducser differnt readings like it should ....now for a differnt ? is the dule beam ducer worth the money i have allways wanted one

It sure is I use the narow band width for deep water and steep drops and the wide angle for everything else.

how much did it run you about ? i know the normal one is 60 from my batshop ....
