vikingmeatwad
The search function never returns any results but thought you guys would know. It's a 4 stroke 250. Manual says 10w30 85 to zero degrees F. But was thinking of what would work best to make this thing start well this winter. Thanks!
Macgyver55
For real cold use 5-20 would be ok, otherwise its more money but put in synthetic that is for motorcycles and ATVs.

McGurk
Cold weather = 2 quarts of Amsoil 0 weight ATV oil. You won't need it all, and it can be purchased locally at Red Rooster if you need it fast. Otherwise "the oilman" can ship it to you , probably for no more money. Also check the "What weight oil" thread going on. "theoilman" explains what I use. I think that's what you'd want, too. theoilman
The AMSOIL preferred oil for almost all 4-stroke 4-wheelers is the 4-stroke PowerSports Oil 0W-40. Most Hondas have the engine and transmissions with separate sumps for the oils, so with the engine oil the wet-clutch question doesn't apply. If you want 10W-30 I would recommend the new 10W-30 MotorCycle Oil.
