Danbury Area Fishing Reports

Yellow Lake can be pretty good towards the end of the year but I haven't been up there this year. Right out from Jefferies Landing is where I have had success in the past. Has anyone been up there lately?

we fished the siren contest and then big yellow on sunday morning - pretty slow on both lakes

Saw the siren contest looked pretty big...we fished the other side of the channel and did pretty well on the sunny's...tried Minerva Fri and Sun with not a bite.

my buddy just got a cabin in danbury i was just curious how the fishing is in that area and what would be some good lakes to try any info would be appreciated

the list goes on and on of area lakes depending on what

your looking for,try lake map book for western wisc 5 counties for more lake info,depts,populations etc

I spend each opener on Yellow Lake with mixed results. Some yrs we do decent and some not good at all. The quality fish are for sure there in that lake.

How are the smaller lakes around Danbury? Are they nearing the ice-free point?

I'm east of there (near Hayward) and we drove by several lakes yesterday. Most of the smaller lakes are ice free especially if they have a creek running into them but almost all of the bigger lakes are anywhere from half to 3/4 iced up yet.

I will be on Lake 26 next weekend and was wondering if anyone knows how deep the northerns are running. Will be fishing from a canoe and will be closest to the bay that is owned by the Lutheran camp.

I could only find very small pike (12-16") and bass (10-12") on the deep weed edges.
