Anyone know any good elk recipes?

We go elk hunting every year in Montana and this year we did really good. We got 5 elk out of 7 tags. Since we have so much I wanted to try some new recipes ideas... I'll try anything once Thanks!!

Cooking elk in a lot of ways is similar to venison except I find the cuts of meat to be somewhat looser when it comes to the backstraps and such and typically has a bit more of a game flavor.

A couple recomendations I have when using Elk:

I typically will pair it with a sweeter side, say roasted yams, spiced berry sauces utilizing the sweet yet spicey aspects to help tame the game flavor to make it palatable for most.

The other thing I try to do is introduce some fat to my dishes, whether it be bacon, ground pork, butter, etc....

Fat=Flavor

I had blackened elk tenderloin once, have no idea how it was prepared but was outstanding!

I actually think elk is less game tasting than venison. It's very lean, so do not overcook. Hard to go wrong on the grill with your favorite seasoning.
