So you're marking fish on the flasher and you want to make the most of your day. what presentation are you going to put in front of them?

I havent ice fished for too long, but i am a fan of the chart. and pink ratsos or shrimpos tipped with a waxie.

For me, it would be some sort of Marmooska Copy. I picked some up on the net pretty cheap with a nice hook. the diamond jig works as well...

But for me, it will really depend on water clarity. If its clear water I will use a horizontle jig, if its stained I will use a verticle, like a moon glow by Outdoorprostore.com, love those jigs in stained water.

I usually use eruolarve as bait.. usually 2 or 3 depending on the weather.. if conditions are right, and fish are big, I'll put 5 or 6 of the darn things on, if its tough, high pressure, I may only put one.

You know - last year I picked up a ton of those lures from the FM outdoor store (online). They are great - they fish really heavy for their size, have great paint and hooks - and just flat out catch fish.

They really have become my lures of choice, along with a eurolarvae or 3 hooked in the butt.

I need to add that I have started to use plastic last winter and this summer with results that give me a lot of confidence. I will be using a LOT more this year.
