Ragenald
Anyone tried the jiffy blade sharpener? How does it work? I just replaced my ripper blade after 9 years, but want to have the old one as a back up. Thanks for any info! Rage
cold one sd
I just sharpen mine on a whetstone. A friend has a jiffy sharpener, but I don't think he has used it yet.
Ed Carlson
I did a article a few years back on how to sharpen a Jiffy blade and field maintain them. If you do a Google search for "A Razors Edge in a Jiffy" you should find it.

Dakota Iceman
Still would like to hear anyones comments on the Jiffy sharpener if they have used one. Iceman out>
Ed Carlson
I used one last winter, they work great. Really no way to screw it up as it is a jig set to the optimum manufactures blade angle. Ripper blades work just as well. If particularly bad you can touch up the serrations first with a Rat Tail file before using the Jiffy Sharpener jig..and your as good as new again. A Good investment.
