fishwater
750's are too big IMO. Lots of good 500 series reels to choose from.
bassislife
You're right, the 750 is too big, but I cant find a 500 sedona anywhere. I only got one 750, and I use it for eyes. All the cabela's fish eagle's are perfect size though. Work great for every species.

prov1900
Tica all the way!!! I took your word for it. I just ordered one. Cetus LF 500. Where are these LF500's at as far as quality/performance in the Tica line? Low end/mid range/high end?
bassislife
I had 2 tica's and I thought they were overpriced...just my 2 cents though. The cabela's fish eagles performed just as good if not better for cheaper.
cRaPpiEMaN8265
The cabela's fish eagle for $30 or a shimano sedona 750 which is on sale at Cabelas now for $40. The drags on both are as smooth as can be. They are easily a couple of the best reels out there for ice fishing. Ditto on the Cabela's Fish Eagle... I see they don't have the rods that they pair them with in stock right now by once they do I will have 2 or 3 ordered! Got the combo rod and reel on sale for 25 bucks at the end of the season last year and I wish I would have gotten it sooner! Reel is super smooth no freezing issues and the rod has over-sized guides so freeze up isn't and issue and it has a fast flexible tip but great backbone for any size fish.Ryan
bassislife
I second the quality of the rods crappieman. They are great too.I couldn't believe the $25 dollar combo they had going last season either. They were practically giving the rod & reel to you! NCLaker
I have 3 of the Cabela combo's. They are my favorite jigging rod combos and are excellent quality. The rods are the XML series. I think the reels are made by Pflueger.
