I'm ready for the long rods!!! I enjoy ice fishing, but not as much as summer and softwater fishing.
So... to all of the ice fishing nuts- better get out quick because the clock's a tickin'!

I hear ya! Got everything a guy needs to go icefishing anywhere but when it comes to open water, I'm standing on shore. Maybe I'll take the duck boat out on Mille Lacs this summer

Yep its going to get real messy now. Ice fishing is always fun, but you cant beat openwater and warmth. Already spending a bunch on Lake MI tackle -- again. Imagine what we all spend chasing these fish year round! Till next ice season.

today after work i thought i would go out to catch a few fish for supper. the first few steps look to be tricky but thought i can make it. 6 or 7 steps later the water is very cold in my boot standing on the ice, only wet just above the knees. my son yelled thats why he put on his waders, smart kid. i still out fished him 15 to 6,nice perch. you got to love late ice

I was out ice fishing today on Okaboji in Iowa. still enough ice to the south! won't last long though. it was 60F today with 30mph winds all day.
