John Swanson Posted October 1, 2008 Share Posted October 1, 2008 I hunt out by ortonville and my father made a trip 2 weeks ago and he said the were THICK and this was only driving to and from town they didn't even walk the feilds...but im sure it really depends on what area of the state your hunting. grizzald Posted October 5, 2008 Share Posted October 5, 2008 Numbers are down in the Appleton/Holloway area. Alot of the hens only had 2-3 chicks that made it due to the weather we had this spring. carpshooterdeluxe Posted October 6, 2008 Share Posted October 6, 2008 roosters were out in full force along the roads this evening. girlfriend and i took a 80 mile drive and saw at least 200 roosters. lots of bachelor groups, didnt see very many hens, or immature roosters though.
