Bear on trail cam

Caught this bear at the bait on my camera on the first night I put the camera out. Hopefully I can get a good pattern on him.

He is big, he is definately over 500# rom what I can tell. We have taken bears up to 515# before and this guy looks even bigger than that. Hopefully we get a good pattern on him and he starts showing up a little earlier, then we can get exact weight and score.

Our season opens up on Aug 15. I won't get a shot at him, but hopefully one our hunters is able to harvest him. Seeing pics of one like him at the bait makes me think about hunting bears myself, not just taking bear hunters. If we get him I will post weight and skull score. He should make book, if not, still a great trophy.

yup he'll probably make 500. That gets a guy pumped up for season. Got any color phase where your at superbee?

We don't have very many color phases in our area. Every once in a while you will see one, but it is not very common. It would really impressive if he was a color phase bear.
