BK19
with the cold temps how much ice will be made per night?
CrappieMagnet
i'd have too say over the years i would imagine the lakes make up to 2-3 inches per night with these sub-zero temperatures..
BDR
I think it really varies depending on how much there is before the sub zero's. I can't see a lake with 15" making the same amount as a lake with 5".
Dusty
Not more than and inch per day when the ice reaches 12+ inches. Less if there is much snow cover.
swampman
My observations after years of sawing alot of ice, about a inch a nite with no snow ,as mentioned above after you get to a foot of ice or so it goes down a little slower as the ice thickness actually insulates a little from the cold weather above. Renneberg
I've heard that a lake can only make 1 inch of ice a night with temps at 0.------------------"Study to be quiet"
Rip_Some_Lip
Well the spot I fished on Saturday had 12" and 14" today. So I would say 1" a night...lol.
