JayinMN Posted June 6, 2008 Share Posted June 6, 2008 Interesting, looks like mergansers and a couple wood ducklings in there. Its common for both to dump eggs into each others nest box. I would guess by the mergansers out numbering the wood ducks mom was a merganser. Sadly they stand little chance with out a mom. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dirtking Posted June 6, 2008 Author Share Posted June 6, 2008 yes - there were 11 or 12 ducks (there bunched up pretty tight - cold and windy) in the bunch and only about 4 wood ducks.
