merkman
I was wondering if one of these would work to clean out the spear hole ie 2 ~ 6 inches of ice. It would be nice if it would. I have several batteries at home and it seems like it would be a nice clean way to open up the hole. I stopped by the local big box lumber yard this week and they had one of these on clearance. I took the guard off the nose of the saw and then I snuck out of the house this weekend and tried it out. I was really amazed at how well it cut ice. I didn't use any oil in it at all. I think I am going to grind down the rakers on the chain too. But for a little saw it did great. You really can't cut much more than 6" of ice with it but I think for keeping the hole open it would work great.
bassNspear
thats what i was thinking. If you ahve your hosue on it, and the main hole cut, you should be able to use it to reopen it, thats if its not 2-3 weeks later, when it will be back to normal again.Use the Fish Toys saw, alot less hassel!
