Boat covers

I'm looking to put a custom cover on a 14' Lund. Any suggestions on who to use in the Metro area? I'm not looking for something real fancy but one that fits better then the generic sizes sold at Fleet Farm or other retail stores.

I found that you can get the generic sized model and have it customized by an upholstry shop. Mine ended up costing about $45.00 extra.

Don't know what it costs, but Chisago City (NE Metro) has a custom place that specializes on boat upholstery & canvas work for boat covers & lifts. Very freindly & honest people whenever I have stopped in.

North Country Canvas in Robbinsdale does a very nice job. I think his prices are very reasonable for what you get, but may be more than what you're looking for. But, if you after a tight, custom fit with quality material and great, small company service, I recommend them. He's on the internet with pix of his work. He's done 2 for me and one for my dad. He also does tie downs. I'm guessing those would be less expensive (less labor), but same quality fabric.

All three still look great with no defect in material, snaps or craftsmanship. I sold my first one, along with my previous boat. The gentleman who bought my old rig stated he loved the pix of the boat and tarp and really liked it when he saw the detail and quality in person.

I just had a cover for my boat made by Tarps Inc. in Savage. Very good job and done in a day!

Top Gun is Shakopee does great work. Their solutions are not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Actually, it's Erichsen Marine Canvas in Shakopee. They make custom covers with materials by Top Gun. North Country Canvas uses the same Top Gun material. Both good choices I'd say.

Just got mine done in Ramsey at the Canvas Craft and they did a nice job.

I run a Lund Pro-V 1775. I had Canvas Craft put a snap cover on my rig and couldn't be happier. And the price wasn't bad either,

I would say Canvas Craft as well. They are always willing to work everything out with us at the shop, and are always willing to go the extra mile for us!
