Way to nail it mid pause. I've tried to measure the length of time a chickadee remains still between moves. Best I've been able to do with current timing devices is an average of .00000000981 seconds.

Sweet shot, buzz, with the nice look-back and eye contact, and the open bill is another plus.

Thanks, Steve. This is easilly my best Chickadee image... for all of the reasons you mentioned. I did have to work on the whites a bit as they were hot... This species is why I love digital... I took so many pics of this guy and a few others and talk about painful!! I saved two shots out of alot of shutter acuations... not a good save ratio.
