mrjigger
Just wondering how accurate NADA guides boat values are? I have a 2002 crestliner 182 tournament series with dual wind screens, 2002 Yamaha VMAX HPDI 175, 2002 yamaha 9.9 four stroke high thrust kicker, lowrance LCX-20C and LMS-480, 70lb bow mount minnkota with universal sonar, remote and auto-pilot, wave wackers, 4 seats, etc. NADA guides says this setup is worth approx. $18000 low retail.I am thinking of selling, would this be a good starting point.thanks. Deitz Dittrich
I have found NADA to be quite accurate.. However, your boat is only worth what someone else will pay for it. It really depends on how bad you need/want to get rid of it. I have seen boats sell for quite a bit higher than NADA, and I have seen the other side as well.. Its your call!.. how bad you want to sell it?
marine_man
I would check the paper, online auction sites, the FM Boats For Sale Forum to get a feel for what the going price is now for a rig similar to yours. The NADA guides are a place to start, but by no means the "correct" price in every situation.Good luck!marine_man
Black_Bay
I'd look at what other people are asking for the same or similar boat. Check the boat sales thread here and other places. That should get you a starting place. Maybe stop at a dealer and ask them what it's worth, i.e. what they would sell it for.
Sandmannd
Criag's list and the new papers are good places to see what they are going for. Also check carsoup.
