"Sap Suckers"! (pics)

I watched a couple of chickadees licking sap from a small maple tree this morning...I've never seen birds do this before(maybe because I've never really took notice before )....I've seen squirrels do this very same thing(last year)...guess we all have a "sweet tooth" ....

Maybe that chickadee is a distant relative to alvimack and that's rum coming out of the tree! nice pics!
