Ceiling Rod Holder

I was running out of space to store my rods... and then my brother suggested that I get rod holders and screw them onto the ceiling... out of the way... not noticeable... and plenty of space up there too... so I cut up 5 strips of Oak and gave them to my friend to have them drilled, routed, etc etc... got it back and installed it on the ceiling... 5 strips total... middle 3 has PVC pipe that can "swivel" to open or close...

Overall heres what it looks like...

I could've gone with three strips instead of 5 but I felt that 5 would support the rods better... This set can hold 10 rods... I have one 9'0 and one 8'6 in it now and both doesnt go all way from one end to other... The strips are parallel to the roof trusses...

Both ends have 2" holes... mainly to accomodate my 2 new Pro Edge rods thats coming... with the 1 1/2" Syncork handles...

Just thought you guys would enjoy this creativity... I had my friend make me other set... but with 12 holes for 12 rods... I have more rods thats standing up and gets in the way sometimes...

Thank you-I'll be stealing the PVC idea. Was cleaning up the garage this weekend and decided that the ceiling was the safest way to store the rods. Was still in engineering phase for what I was going to build but looks like you completely that for me. They look good-nice work
