MuskieSlayer
Alright, you sold me. Your enthusiasm for pink lures is just too much for me to handle any longer. I've fought the urge to buy pink long enough. I'll be swinging by Thorne's tomorrow. If they're big winners for me this year, you're getting all the credit. Nice arsenal by the way. USDA3
Allright, I'm not an avid musky fisherman, but I've noticed the crazy of these Double Cowgirls, wondering if they really are what they are cracked up to be. I noticed Rebel has a few in his tool bag, have folks really seen a difference in the inlines of Mayhem's vs any other brand of inline spinner with double colorado's? Another post in this forum talks about the size and how they can burn up a reel, does the DBL showgirl relieve some of the reel strain(and arm strain for that matter)? Just noticed they varied a lot in price from store to store, wanted to hear something good before I buy another lure musky lure over $20 then find myself not wanting to throw it because of its size. I have an Abu 6500C3, not looking to upgrade the reel cause my fishing has become very limited since the arrivial of my first kid!
AWH
Personally, I think people are going to find baits like the Junior Double Cowgirl and DC-9 to be just as effective in many instances as the bigger Double 10s with a LOT less strain on reels and your body. Of course there are always exceptions and there will always be a time and a place for the bigger blades, even the bigger #13s like are on the Super Model Double Cowgirl. The much smaller Double Showgirls and DC-8s are tremendous baits for burning and you won't have to worry about burning up a reel with them.To answer your question on if the Double Cowgirls are what they're cracked up to be...in a word...YES. Musky Mayhem makes an awesome bait. But it's the blades more than anything. The flashabou of the Double Cowgirls breathes and pulsates like nothing else. But baits like Muskie Mojo's Double X with marabou work great too. Whether you like the flashabou, marabou or silicone comes down to personal preference. They all produce.Aaron

lucy1205
Dude! some guy at my work told me about this muskie lure swap site. It works the same way as the cd or book swap sites. Plus they have sweet discount lures. Double bladed bucktails for $12 dollers, Big raps for $5 dollers, etc. I dont know the name off the site but ill ask him again. He says it was set up by his sisters boyfreind and says that it is very legit. He traded 2 crank baits for some bucktails that he will evetually trade. only mid life or better lures can be posted and digital pics must be posted. I dont know but it sounds sweet because ive already Wraped hundreds in to new lure for this season.
