buddha
Anyone else ever wonder if the DNR has netted the new state record while getting eggs? I have not witnessed this process but hope to this weekend. There has to be some real pigs that are trapped. Anybody got any first had info? JohnMickish
What lake are they netting this weekend? Not all lakes are capable of producing such a fine fish.
UMDSportsman
My parents went a couple years ago when they were set up on winnie (actually i think it is in little cutfut), and he said there were lots of walleyes in there that made his 30 inch walleye on the wall look like baitfish. RiverBassGuy
shocking on Mille Lacs has produced multiple state record smallmouth. Thus, I started smallmouth fishing when the 'eye action slows
TrophyEyes
About 20 years ago the DNR netted a walleye that was over 24 lbs on the Seagull river from what I have heard. I cannot remember the exact weight, but they were saying it was close to a world record, obviously not counting because of the method of capture. It was weighed on the same scale that two of mine were weighed on, I fished with the guide that helped weigh it.
Northlander
I know theres at least 1 state record eye in the Lake Superior/St. Louis River system. Word is that they have had a few eyes in the netting/stripping process that would have been very close if not bigger.
polarsusd81
You just want us all to come up to the St. Louis River huh Northlander? It is actually one of the stops that is on my list of places to fish. That list is a mile long though.I am more apt to be found on the pond chasing one of those record smallies than anything else though.
