Animal
Check the local bait shops. This time of year most of the locals get a lot of ice fishing gear either on trade in or consignment. One of my fishing buddies just picked up an FL-8 at a Duluth, MN shop for $150.
Sifty
You could try Reeds. On there adds they say they take trade-ins.Sifty

gspman
I've been reading the passionate debate about Vexilar vs. Marcum flashers with great interest. Seems they'll all benefit the fisherman. However a new one will cost a minimum of $300. People have been mentioning used ones. Where do you find these used units? Is there one good place to go or do you have to root around at various bait shops and look at classified adds? If I can get the missus blessing, I'd like to pick up a Marcum LX-1 or a Vex FL8se but for the amount of ice time I get I just can't justify $300. A used one is the way to go for me. Help! Where do I look for one?gspman
