Filming your hunt

I'm planning on taking a friend and my videocamera to try and record my turkey hunt in a few weeks. While at the Sports Show I saw a company selling shotgun, rifle, and bow mounts for attaching a camera. Kind of a neat deal. I predict there will be a lot more filming of hunting and fishing trips in the future with technology coming into our everyday life and into our hobbies. Just look at all the content on this site or YouTube.

Anyone else see those RifleCam mounts? What do you think? Worth a try? The mounts aren't actually too expensive.

I've heard from guys who have given the shotgun cam an honest try and they said the quality is a lot better if you mount the camera to a baseball cap and go that route...that way the video doesn't get thrown off from the recoil. Get a good telephoto lens for it after you buy it so birds don't look like they are 100 yards out.

We've always talked about having someone videotape but when it comes down to it guys would rather shoot than film \:\)
