Wow that fella can pitch.

Now I know one start does not put him in the Hall of Fame, but he really pitched well, too bad it was wasted with the pathetic offensive display the Twins put on the field.

The last two pitchers for the Angels are not consider very good. That scares me a little. They are at home and should be spanking the ball.

I think they are trying a little too hard.

Just my thoughts.

The "Blackbeard the Pirate" might be the real deal.

No doubt he threw an awesome game tonight, too bad he got the loss because of 1 bad pitch. I agree the lake of offense is scary, no doubt about it. My dad is a HUGE, HUGE Twins fan and really pays close attention to the details. He brought up an interesting tidbit of info. This year the Twins spent about $20 million less on players salaries than last year. Where'd that extra $20 million go this year? C'mon guys we need some hits!!!

Blakburn was great, he had great control for most of his 7ip. I am not going to be to concerned about our offense it will come around. All they have to do is win today and we tied the series, cant expect more then that from playing the predicted division winner!

Took the wife to the game last night after the Northwest show.

Bought tickets from a scalper. 10 rows up behind home plate. $25 a piece! Awsome seats.

Blackburn was awesome. Man does he have some rotation. every inning in warm up, he throws a big curve and man does it ever curve. I can see how he will have some trouble keeping the ball down but he will certainly be a #2 pitcher this season.

Man was I dissapointed to see that Mauer was on the bench last night. The game was decided by a pitch that I think Redmond should of had. Mauer would have been the little offence that the twins needed.

By the way, the throw from Gomez to home in the 8th was a ROPE! What a gun. That game the twins at least a shot.

Play by Punto was Pretty amazing too in the ninth.

All in all a pretty boring game.

The twins hit into 4 double plays with no outs and a man on. SICK. You won't win when you do that.

Pathetic indeed. Is it that hard to sac bunt the runner to 2nd??? The Angels did it all night long. Sometimes Gardy needs to realize that getting guys into scoring position is worth more than the big inning. Gomez couldn't keep his bunts fair... I think a little practice is needed in that dept.

But back to topic... Blackburn looked sharp. Had a solid spring. Sucks to lose the game to a wild pitch but it bodes well for the future. Now lets hope Slowey can keep things going today.

I love the Twins but...

I finished last year so irritated with the Twins hitting.

Now after 3 games, unless Mauer is up, I already find myself turning the channel when they come to hit.

Even Bert is loosing it already, he yelled "get out of here" for a ball Hunter caught 200 feet from the fence!

If I wanted to see a bunch of ground balls, I would watch'em take infield.

Blackburn indeed looked good last night, and that pitch really wasn't a wild pitch, either it hit a rock or had sideways english on it or something, that thing hit the ground and took a 90 degree turn. Anyways the hitting was frustrating. We had 3 or 4 innings in a row with the lead off runner on and then hit into a double play. And Morneau, it is about time to get one out of the infield.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. He was "awesome" last night, but it is only one game.

He did have great command and his stuff looks like it may be the best of anyone in our rotation this year. He was hitting 96 with the fastball. That might be off, but either way he throws hard and has some great offspeed stuff and control.

Looks great, hope he keeps it up.

I was impressed with Blackburn. Reminded me of Radke. Efficient, around the plate, lots of groundballs. Bonser looked like Bonser. Up in the zone, you hang...they bang it, and they did.

He did pitch really well, i was at the game and the twins have no offense at all. At least the infield played well. My buddy caught one of torii's home run ball in pre game batting practice, that was kind of cool.
