forest2482
Looking for any advice on a super sensitive rod for perch fishing in the summer. I use the power noodle from thorne bros in the winter but looking for something a little longer.
Deitz Dittrich
I would say any 6' light or ML spinning rod. Check out some of FishingMinnesotas sponsors. Thorne brothers, Midwest Rod and Reel, Jason Mitchel rods, and would also suggest you check out Limit Creek Rods. But like I said, I would keep it at about 6' more or less depending on personal pref and a light action or ML. depending on how deep you usually fish and the weight lure you will be throwing. harvey lee
I just built a new sensor grip rod for my jigging as this is a much lighter rod without all the cork and is really more sensitive. One can also jig longer without getting as tired as the weight of the rod is less. As Dietz stated, get the right rod for the line and weight of the jigs you will be using to fit the rod. Northlander
I have a 6'3" Light power and fast action spinning rod thet Bill and Al at Midwest Rod and Reel made for me and its super sensitive and is awesome for panfish. It has enough backbone to handle walleyes as well. I love it for 1/16th-3/8th oz jigging. Check out there whole line of rods at http://www.midwestrodandreel.comI also have a St. Croix Avid thats 6'6" and light power with a more moderate action and its also a great light tackle jigging rod. Many very good rod companies out there. Thorne Brothers, Midwest, Jason Mitchell, Scotty's. Fm has many sponsors that make good sticks. Check them out.Heck if your on a tight budget Gander has the Rapala Sportsmans rods on sale for $15 right now. They make a decent rod for that price and some good panfish style rods.
