Dish network vs Direct TV

I currently have dish network, and was wondering if direct tv is any better for prices,packages,ect.... Has anyone made the switch? I may be able to do a quest bundle deal, but I'am a little leary of "deals"?

Honestly I think they are both pretty comparable both in price and what they feture.

The only diff is the sports packages. You can get all kind of add on for sports with Direc TV. While it is not cheap, but Baseball, Football and Hockey are all available. Other then that, I am sure the packages are the same. I have been with Direc TV for 8 years and their CS is good.

I had dishnetwork for about 10 years but recently switched to DirectTV. Long story short. I wanted 2 HD-DVR's for my house. Dishnetwork would not give them to me at a reduced fee. DirectTV would. ONce I switched to DirecTV and cancled my dishnetwork, Dishnetwork then offered me the DVR's for free but I had already made the switch. Even when I threatened to switch Dishnetwork wouldnt do anything until I actually cancled. By then, too late. I was a little [PoorWordUsage]'ed at them.

Price? I think they are comparable.. but I also think DirectTV has more HD channels.

Kylersk I did the same 3 yrs. ago dish called back with a GREAT deal! But the Direct guy was installing right at that time!
