First fish

Being that we are all getting excited about getting out on first ice. I was hoping someone could post the first fish threw the ice.

I iced a Meeker county walleye at about 5:45 PM on 11/26...

Of course I missed a Meeker country walleye at about 5:40 PM!!

24 nov sometime in the after noon my 1st fish threw the ice this year 5lb northern. itasca county. most fun ive had since last winter.

Fished last night first time this year. New portable, new heater, caught a bunch of crappies. Aah life is good!!

Great to see the reports coming in. I have the poles and equipment all ready. I just need to charge the Vex and give the auger a few test pulls to make sure it is working. I think I am going to run to the gararge right now and start that sucker up !!!

Fished yesterday near Ely. Fourteen flags and eight pike in three hours. Nothing big. Today it was cloudy, snowy and windy, and only five flags and two fish in three hours.

Who cares? Great to be out again. And, for tomorrow . . . .

4 walleyes today...one was 27 inches!! what a way to start the season. we had 4 last night, but my brugly other caught 3 and i only got one. i more than made up for that tonight. gonna have to wait now. smoke pole shootin starts in the a.m.

eater walleye 11/9 around 4p.m. i know if i was fishing in stearns county that early someone else had to be fishing further north. that is the earliest i have ever hit the lakes, ice was fine when i checked 11/8, fished 11/9, and shot by 11/10
