hoggs222
What do you guys serve with deep fried turkey. I was thinking sandwich buns and some green bean casserole.
Jim Almquist
If you have a mandolin or some way to slice potatoes real thin you could make homemade chips while the turkey is resting.

hoggs222
That bean slop sounds great, it may make the garage smell like a bunch of guys that ate White Castle though.I might give that a shot.
Cicada
If you want to try a mac salad that's pretty easy, give this a shot.Cooked macaroni rings or shells, one small box. Get them chilled.Finely chopped: celery, green onions, black olives, and red pepper.I used either ham, those little salad shrimp, or turkey chunks. An 8oz pkg of finely shredded cheddar. For the dressing, the least expensie 16oz bottle of ranch dressing you can find and mix in one pkg of Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix.You can make this a day or so ahead, but don't add the cheese until shortly before you are ready to serve. You can remove any of the ingredients or add some of your favorites but the key is the dressing with the seasoning in it.Our family loves this one.
