I had the same thing happen to me on Tonka a few years back. I was in my permanant house and heard someone drilling close to my house. There he was right by my door. I asked him what the H$#@ he was doing and he said he was trying to get out of the wind. I told him to move it. He was right in the middle of my door. I wonder if its just one person that does that or if his whole family moves around the whole state from lake to lake.

Wow, I didn't expect this much response while I was out on the river. We realy should have messed w/ this guy way more. But, my buddy had to leave or I think he would have done something stupid. He is making better decisions lately than his younger years and he's trying to keep it that way. He was so fumed, he didn' t stop talking about it for hours. I still can't beleive it happened. Ya never know what will happen on the water.

it's amazing how people will flock, I can't wait for mille lacs on opener. I hope it is drizzly w/ light breaze like '06 (i think). Weed the weak...

Fyi... felt great to be in the boat today. (35+ walleye/ sauger; one 10" perch, eagles every where and sunburned cheeks.

In January I went ice fishing with my dad, uncle, and my brother. It was the second day of our trip and I was fishing on the same side of the house as my dad. I just got done pulling up a fish and I noticed that I had another line wrapped around the fish. So I turn and ask every one if I had their line, and started to pull on it. Nobody said it was theirs. So I started to pull on the line. Then my father said he had a fish on his line. I look over and his bobber was going down as I was pulling on the line. I thought he was joking around so I just started playing a long. Then my brother points at my dad, and his eyes were locked on the hole and he was reeling in for everything he had. At this point I could tell he really thought he had a fish. So I would pull on the line and take drag, my dad was so excited, he was like a little kid. By this time my brother is having a hard time not laughing to loud, so I look at my brother and I mouth the words "watch this". At this point I yank on the line to the point I'm trying to rip the pole out of his hands. The drag was screaming. My dad said some words I really can't type, basically holly ..... My brother couldn't take it any more and lost it. he was on the floor laughing. My dad looks over at me and sees all this line by me and calls me something he has never called me. I don't think I've laughed so hard in my life, and it was defently the high light of the trip.

Very similar to what happened to us last weekend. We were on the 'known' spot on the spot, and had a great time by ourselves just two of us pulling in slab crappies all-day. Then like clock work, at 4pm, 8 trucks surround us. One guy pulls up and drills a hole right on top of the one he just got done watching me fish. I didnt care too much because he was on the wrong side of the break, but I was very tempted to say to him,

"Sir, why are you wasting your auger gas, why don't you just use my hole that is right next to you?"

I'm glad there are a lot of people that think crappies don't bite during the day, because we left as soon as they slowed down and moved into the shallows, after hammering them all 'DAY'
