mlb
I have never taken the boat out this early in the year and was wondering if there is anything special that needs to be done to keep the motor from freezing up when the tepms are below freezing. Any info/advice would be appreciated.
0 Valv
Just keep the motor in the down position, so it will drain the water (I assume it's an outboard right ?).If possible don't use livewells or pumps, or if you do be sure to drain them. That's mainly it, for this time of the year. 0 Fisherman For a Lifetime
If possible have the boat/trailer at an incline.Put the motor all of the way down & let the water drain out.Put the motor all of the way up & back down again (more should drain out).Start the motor for about 2 seconds and more should spit out. There ya go!
