Alternative Lighting Options for Portables?

After fighting my kerosene lantern enough times this winter, I went to Northern Tool when I went home last weekend and bought their 48 LED Multipurpose Utility Light. 1 is plenty bright to light up my Trekker 2 Man, and it only runs off 3 AA batteries. NT also sells a 24 pack of AA for 4 or 5 bucks, so I'm set for a few years.

I use a combo of the walmart lights and rope lights.

Works great...still use the propone heater though.

I was lucky to get out. I wanted to share that so something similar or worse doesn't happen to anyone else.

After hearing so much about the BHK LED's on here, I finally ordered two 48cm strips yesterday. The only bummer is that I probably won't get to use them in the portable this year by the time they arrive.

You wont be dissapointed with them, best light I have used in a portable!

Yeah - my portable is wired for rope lights and they are switchs...it is a real nice set up!

And its so easy because you don't have to worry about the lantern bouncing around the tub.
