Red fishing line

I always use vanish. My buddy Kingfisher would outfish me and the only difference was that he had vanish on and I had ice line. I put a swivel on and tied about 2 feet of vanish to it and then put on my jig. Stayed pretty consistant since. Now that's all I use, ice or open.

Apparently Cajun Red used to be a really great line. I think it is Shakespeare that bought them a few years ago. I bought a 500 yard spool of the old stuff a few years ago and like it, can't say love it. I have tried the ice stuff and it is ok but I don't recommend it. A friend of mine is the one that told me they had been bought up and he used to swear by it but won't touch it now.

Vanish is my go to line. I have had great success with this line (summer and winter).

I used the Red Cajun Ice line (3#) last night. Things where slow, but it did not exhibit anything different than any other new line would do.

Still in the experimental stage, but it passed the first test.
