Ice Fishing This Weekend!!

Well the pond is froze. (That is the wifes 175 gallon garden pond) The ice is thick enough to hold my weight. Time to auger a hole and fish for the gold fish that I forgot to take out.

At least I can say I went Ice Fishing this weekend.

Walked out on temperance lake on the east side of Sherburn Mn. this am. Looks like at least an 1 1/2. The ice didnt even crack from my weight.Sherburn is 9 miles from the iowa border in south central Mn.

How do you guys have ice in SOUTHERN Minnesota allready? The ponds around here only have ice on the fringes of them. I could maybe see around international falls or something but...

And there is no way anyone would get me out on less than 4" x.x

Two four wheelers were out on Waconia yesterday! Only 20' out, but they were playing around!

Geez, I was at Medicine yesterday and there was barely any ice anywhere on the lake.The most I saw was a sheet of ice 20 feet wide and 2 feet deep. The ice was paper thin too, the ice was flexing with the waves.

Had my truck out on prior lake today but the ice started cracking a little so I thought I would wait another week to pull out my 20 hole shack....

There was 3" on the upper St. Louis Saturday and Sunday. Iced 8 'eyes on Sat, 9 on Sun. I'm sure the ice is junk after todays temps.
