Iceman12
What is the difference between the Angel Eye's and the Glow Devil's? I have the Angel Eye and Angel Eye Jr's and I am thinking about getting the Glow Devils. Just wondering what the differences are exactly?
Paul Waldowski
Ice,Glow Devils can be fished much faster than an AE, as they are more like a jigging spoon. I use them mainly on active fishAE do a lot more fluttering on there way down and are fished a lot slower. Great for triggering neutral fish. Let em hang in there face and twitch it once in a while. Each one has a place in your arsenal. ------------------Paul[email protected]www.marcum.comwww.otter.com[This message has been edited by Paul Waldowski (edited 11-06-2003).]
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 6, 2003 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 6, 2003 Paul is correct, the Glow Devil drops faster and straighter a very good search lure. The Angel Eyes are made out of steel and look like a dieing minnow on the drop. Great for attraction and triggering bites when jigged to look like a dieing minnow. Paul Waldowski
Whatt,Some of my best fishing has come while using the Pink and White AE Jr. They are absolutely deadly on Upper Red Lake.------------------Paul[email protected]www.marcum.comwww.otter.com
Iceman12
Thanks for the information guys. I am going to have to add those to the arsenal this year. What size glow devils would you recommend if I mainly fish for crappies but would want them for Walleye's as well? Would the 1/8 work for both? cluelessfisherman
For the crappie, I would suggest some of the new 1/16 oz devils that will be offered here soon. I know I will be using those a lot this winter! If you want something for both eyes and crappies, go with the 1/8th oz - it is just a good sized lure that works well for just about every species. ------------------Clueless - -
Guest
I've caught both crappies and walleyes on the 1/8 oz Glow Devils. But I would assume that the 1/16 oz will produce better for crappies. I like the pink for crappies and the perch or firetiger for perch. Walleyes hit all the colors really. The gold Angel Eyes are good for walleyes too. The red hooks are an added bonus as well.Good Fishin,Matt [email protected]Catch-N TackleMarCum
irishjigs
Just got my card of glow devils! They look great, especially the "glow red"...They'll be perfect for getting down deep quick for those perch.
Guest
All the colors work at certain times. Each lake can be different. Color can be the biggest difference in the winter because the water can be gin clear. It's best to purchase the card so you have all the colors to experiment with. ------------------Mille Lacs Guide Service 651-271-5459www.millelacsguideservice.com
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 8, 2003 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 8, 2003 I'll have to agree with Derek,I've been on Upper Red Lake where most folks swear by pink or pink white combos. There have been times where the other color Glow Devils and Angel Eyes out-performed the pink. It's always best to have a selection of colors and sizes so you can give the fish what they want.CLICK HERE to see Glow Devils, Angel Eyes, & Tackle City Ice Fishing Jigs.SAVE BIG$ on quality tackle that plain ol catches fish.
