MN Master Angler Program

Does anyone know anything about the Master Angler program sponsored by the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame? I think there are three categories...master angler, expert angler, and grandmaster. What are the requirements to receive these acknowledgements? I'm just curious about the program so any information would be helpful.

The DNR HSOforum sends you to the MN Fishing Hall of Fame and I'm not having any luck with their HSOforum.

I know if you go to an area fisheries office, they have pamphlets with all the information you need to know. I believe there is a set length for each species that you need to exceed, and you need to have a witness sign for you, and I could be mistaken, but I believe you need to send in a photo as well.

Good luck.

The MN and InFish Master angler programs are different, with different qualifications.

IMO the InFish Master angler program is better because it has more strict qualifications (read bigger fish).

I've caught quite a few different species in the past couple years but never bothered to enter them.

dtro is correct it is 2 different systems. I thought of the MN master angler award for my son. Which MN system does a category for youth. But sent in to In-fisherman Hoping he could get his name listed in the magazine. Kool for a kid to show his buddies.
