Aqua-vu screen help!!!

Well I talked with aqua-vu tech services and was told to hook my camera up to a tv and see if the screen clears up and it did, on the tv you could see just fine on the aqua-vu it was darker and shadowy so it looks like I will need a new screen, its been a good camera and I can get the same screen or move up to the new 7" screen with adjustments for contrast so my question is which one to get?

Go with the biggest screen you can get. You won't regret it.

I'd upgrade as well, unless you liked the smaller screen because it took up less space.

I had the same exact problem. I called and was told my camera was well out of warranty period. So I tore it apart and fixed mine cause I am a cheapo. It was a lot of work to tear it open, but I saved myself 100 bucks. It seems that when I let my dad and uncle borrow it for a trip to Mille Lacs it bounced around in the boat and on the back of the circuit board, a solder point popped off. Fixed the solder joint, fixed the camera. Not as pretty as when it was new(external from my tape job), but works again. I used electrical tape to seal it back up when I was done so that if there are any more problems, I can go in and adjust things easily. There are a many number of problems it could be, but a broken solder joint is the most likely culprit.

i have a sp80 4inch lcd screen and i have some light spots in the screen anybody know how to fix them? started to take it apart a got scared of making it worse so i put back together
