When this thread started, I was heading to Tonka with the family to try and fish a little before IT hit. We didn't make it early enough but set up anyway. Banked the suitcase portable before putting up the canvas and kept it within 2 feet of the truck with at least two people in it AT ALL TIMES. crazy.gif

Man were those pannies hitting though! We caught fish almost non stop for 4 hours. Active chasers too. Everyone caught fish and had fun. I wanted to set up a tip up on the weedline, but I couldn't see that far across the ice. Temps were nose diving though so we packed it up.

Got out to snowmobile for about an hour yesterday. Just enough time to wonder if I had frost bite. eek.gif

I chickened out of the last cold snap. Am I redeemed??

It was at least -50 windchills, maybe more this weekend on LOTW. Open ice equals 50 mph winds and lots of blowing snow. It hit around 6:30 in the morning and everyone woke up and the holes started shrinking. It was brutal. A 20 yard walk to the other house gave you a headache.
