shirts
I bought a box of these years ago but have never shot them. I worked at Burger Bros for years, but could never get any feedback on these. Remington makes them. I fiqured just about any hunter could get access to a 30-30. This could be a great gun to use if you want to try the sport of predator hunting. Here are some specs from a Remington ammo catalog. Muzzle Velocity 3400, 100yrd 2693, 200yrd 2085. Energy in ft-pds 100yrd 886, 200 yrd 531. Not a 223 but darn close. I'm not comparing bolt action, and AR-15 varmint rifles here. Just offering a cheap alternative. I want to here some feedback. Thanks, ShirtsQuote, If it's and but's were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas.
picksbigwagon
I knew remington had made 55 grainers for 30-06 but had never heard of it in 30-30....I say if you can zero it in out to 200 yards, you would be good to go. how does that ammo compare to the hornady Leverevolution? HunterLee
I doubt they would be accurate enough for consistent hits. My cousin's father in law made him some out of 55 vmax's for his 30-06 and they were lucky to group 5-6in at 100yds. I have heard the same about the remington factory accelerators, and i think they are over 20 bucks a box. Just use the lightest solids and shoot them.
