rollineyes
I bought a new 50hp E-tec this spring. I did have a couple of minor issues with it but the dealer took great care of me. I love the motor. It uses very, very little oil and sips the gas. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I would strongly recommend it!rollineyes
Hooked On a Feeling
They run great when their not in the shop.I believe the software updates are pretty much done with except for the higher H.P. motors.Hooked
magnum mike
I have a 75hp E-Tec on my duck boat and it is the best motor I ahve ever owned. I second the great fuel & oil economy. Mine has never been in the shop.
Dave S
my dad put a 60 hp on his Crestliner and loves it. The first thing he noticed was the fuel economy.
fishinalot
When I was looking at boats earlier, a dealer told me that the 40,50 and 60 hps were a bit sluggish and not as smooth running as 75hp on up. I'm just repeating what I heard from another boat dealer.
680T
I've got two seasons on my E-tec 60hp tiller. So far so good.I would think the 40 would be no different than the 60.I'm planning on picking up a jon boat and will put a 40 e-tec on that.
