GEM club kids ice outing 2-2, pics

We had a great time out on a minneapolis area lake for our Gem club outing this month. it started out slow and we had to cut alot of holes to find some active fish. we finally found them really shallow around six feet down. We got sunfish, crappies, and Largemouth bass. No pike were to bite for us though. Fishing got better later in the day. Most fish were caught on small glow jigs with plastics, or grubs.

A few were caught on minnows too.

I got to fish with two kids who never icefished before! Theo and Tommy learned quickly however to watch their jig on a flasher and watch for bites with a spring.
