vex fl20 19degre or dual ?

what is the best for ice fishing if you were going to get new vex

in the FL 20 THE STRAIGHT 19 0R THE 19/9 cone

Dual beam for sure. I use the 9 degree alot when fishing deep 30 to 50 feet. Also when im fishing close to a buddy.

I use the 9 all the time but if I'm hole hopping I will switch to the 19 to see if there is anything that is close and then back to the 9. So my two cents go with the duel beam.

Dont they still offer the 12 degree? I have an older vex with the 12 on it, very seldom do I wish I had the dual! I do have the dual on my fl-18 and wish I had the 12 on it, I like the 12 because it is in the middle, where the 9 is to narrow, and the 19 is to wide!

Mine's a Marcum, not a Vex, but I love the dual beam feature on mine and use it quite a bit. I'd definately say get it.

Yes they do offer the 12 degree and i have it on the fl 20 works for me but if i had the dual i would probably like that as well

The dual sounds like the choice. Now, the FL18 can be purchased with either a 12 degree or a 19 degree, ( no dual in the deal). For fishing that is always in water less than 25', would either one have a distinct advantage. Most of the older FL8's had the 19 degree. I have had both recommended to me.

I have a FL18 w/dual. Didn't know they quit making it. But yes I would get the dual.

FYI ... They still have the FL-18 Dual Beam (9/19) for sale on the Vexilar web site.

Yup, still can get dual beams in all the Vexilar Flashers.. All transducers are interchangeable for any of the flasher line..

Myself, I am all about the dual beam...
