What reel would you guys pair this with? What would you use it for?

How much money do you want to spend? Alot of options out there.

With a 8FT MH rod you can throw pretty much everything except for large plastics.

I have an 8' St Croix that I paired up with a Garcia 7000i and it is the best combination!! I can throw DCG's, DC-10's and any other big bucktail, twitch crankbaits or just straight crank them with ease. My brother made fun of me for getting a setup lke this, and after he fished with it once, he wanted one for himself. I had really good luck with it twitching Shallow Invaders.....

How much of a difference would it be between a 8' MH and a 7'6 H? Worth the buy?

I'd say the 8'MH, like Musky18 said, it offers a LOT more versatility!
