my wife's boss sent her thses pic of the fish.he was reeling in a 36 incher then this 56incher came by and wanted the 36incher.he caught both of them.weather or this story is true about the lake i dont know.

like i said not sure if this true about this fish being caught in minnesota.i dont live that far from the lake they said he caught it on.and i havent heard anything about this new state record.

it was 56 inches long and 55 lbs

Yep, these have been circulating the internet for quite a few years now. Google monster northern and you'll see plenty about it. It's been caught in about a dozen places

A dozen, try at least 50. I have seen those photos come through my email at least 15 times over the last 7 years. All claiming different stories.

The true story that I heard is that it was caught in Holland several years ago.

the boat is a Northwoods 16 fishing model and I dont think bob link sold any in Holland

The top one was caught in Holland about two years ago and I think it was 54 inches and 40 some pounds. The bottom one I'm not sure about but it is not the same fish. These have been floating around different boards and magazines for some time now.
